From October 6 to 12, 2024, the Bolgar Islamic Academy, with the support of the Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science, and Education, will host the VI Bolgar Forum “Theological Heritage of Muslims in Russia” with international participation. The Forum aims to develop conceptual solutions for the most pressing issues concerning the socialization of the Muslim community in Russia, including the revival of traditional values, the formation of a unified Russian civic identity, interfaith dialogue, social service, and the preservation and promotion of family values.

The Forum will bring together leading theologians, Islamic scholars, religious studies experts, historians, representatives from government bodies, scientific and educational organizations, as well as staff and students from secular and religious educational institutions, along with religious and public figures.

The Forum will feature three key events:: “VIII Bulgarian Readings: Historical and Cultural Heritage of Muslim Peoples: Modern Approaches to Study and Preservation” (October 6-8, 2024) ” Preservation of Traditional Family Values in the Context of Global Challenges “(October 8-10, 2024) “Social Service of Religious Organizations in the Context of Preserving and Promoting Family Values” (October 10-12, 2024).

Each event will include various sections dedicated to specific topics. Additionally, the Forum will feature the presentation of new publications by the Bolgar Islamic Academy, including: “Russian Legislation and Sharia” by I.I. Salikhov and L.R. Syukiyainen, “Islamic Concept of State and Constitution” by L.R. Syukiyainen, “Sharia in the Mirror of Domestic Theological Heritage” by R.R. Shangaraev, and a monograph by Dr. A.A. Khasavneh titled “Tabsirât al-Murshidin min al-Masha’ikh al-Khalidiyyin” (“Guide for Mentors by the Khalidiyya Branch Sheikhs”) by Muhammad-Zakir Kamalov (al-Chechti)).

The Forum will offer three modes of participation: in-person (including presentations and the submission of articles for publication), online, and remote (for publication of scientific articles).Those interested in participating should complete and submit the electronic registration form, including their presentation abstracts and clearly specifying the name of the conference, by September 25, 2024, via the following link: [https://bolgar.academy/forum-registration].
