On 11 July, rector of the Bolgar Islamic Academy Farkhat Khusnutdinov met with Rafik Mukhametshin, chairman of the council on islamic education, rector of the Russian islamic institute and Kazan islamic university, deputy mufti of the spiritual administration of muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan for education.
During the meeting, the sides discussed plans to implement measures aimed at improving national Islamic religious education.
Rector of the academy Farkhat Khusnutdinov expressed confidence that only joint efforts of religious and academic scientific and educational organizations can effectively solve the problems of revival the national system of Islamic theological education.
In turn, Rafik Mukhametshin noted the special role and importance of the Bolgar Islamic Academy in the training the professional religious figures and theologians who make up the staff elite of islamic religious and educational organizations in the country.
