As part of his official visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, visited the Bolgar Islamic Academy.
The visit was made at the invitation of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and coincided with Dr. AlMalik’s participation in the KazanForum 2025 events.
Dr. AlMalik was welcomed to the Academy by Marat Timurshin, Head of the Department of Science, who gave the guest a guided tour of the Academy’s campus. During the visit, Dr. AlMalik was introduced to the Academy’s mission, which is focused on preserving and promoting the rich theological heritage of Russian Muslims.
The delegation was also presented with detailed information about the Academy’s academic and research capabilities, its distinguished faculty, and its extensive network of international cooperation.
The ISESCO representatives were shown the history and current activities of the Bolgar Islamic Academy, its exhibition complex, and the library’s extensive collection of religious literature. Dr. AlMalik also had the opportunity to view rare and restored publications preserved by the Academy’s Laboratory for the Restoration and Digitization of Ancient Books and Manuscripts.
The guests expressed high appreciation for the Academy’s work and potential, and voiced their readiness to support its educational and scientific initiatives.
