The World Muslim Communities Council’s delegation is on an official visit to the Academy


From 15 to 18 February 2021, the delegation of The World Muslim Communities Council headed by Assistant Secretary General Dr. Hassan Al-Marzouqi is on an official visit to Bolgar Islamic Academy. The delegation includes the Head of the strategic planning department, Dr. Muhammad Saif al-Oubaydli, and the Advisor to the chairman of the Council, Dr. Nasr Aref. The main purpose of the visit is to discuss the results of cooperation and further prospects for cooperation.

The members of the delegation met with the leadership of the Academy, headed by Acting Rector of the Academy Ainur Timerkhanov. During the meeting, the parties discussed the participation of the Council in events dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria, attracting visiting professors and foreign lecturers (including for Arabic language, as well as advanced education courses) to the Academy in the second semester, issuing double degrees, assistance in the publication of the first issue of “Bolgar” magazine, etc.

During the visit, the guests attended lectures by foreign teachers, were acquainted with the curricula and programs, held lectures for students and staff of the Academy on the use of links provided by the Council to electronic resources that contain electronic copies of manuscripts.

The Council representatives assured that teachers of Al-Azhar University Adham Farraj Abdelrahman and Ali Mahdi Othman will arrive at the Academy in the near future. In addition, the guests expressed their readiness to provide all-round assistance in the activities of the Academy.
