Delegation of Bolgar Islamic Academy visited Cairo International Book Fair


From January 22 to 23, 2020, delegation of Bolgar Islamic Academy, headed by Rector Daniyar Abdrakhmanov, was on a working visit to Arab Republic of Egypt. During the working trip, the delegation visited Cairo International Book Fair.

Cairo Fair is one of the largest and oldest in the Arab world and is held annually in late January - early February. The organizer is General Egyptian Book Organization, a division of the Ministry of Culture of Egypt. The fair attracts several million visitors and thousands of booksellers every year. Presentations of new publications on Islamic theology, meetings with authors, literary evenings, round tables devoted to pressing issues of culture and literature are held here. The 51st session of Cairo International Book Fair 2020 under the slogan “Egypt - Africa. Culture of Diversity” will last until February 4. About 900 publishing houses from 38 countries of the world take part, including Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. The guest of honor of the 51st fair is Senegal.

BIA representatives familiarized themselves with the latest in world book literature, made purchases to the Academy library collection.
