Delegation of Bolgar Islamic Academy is on a visit to Arab Republic of Egypt
From January 22 to 23, 2020, delegation of Bolgar Islamic Academy, headed by Rector Daniyar Abdrakhmanov, paid a working visit to Cairo. The second day of the visit continued at Cairo University.
Cairo University is the oldest European type university in Egypt. One of the oldest secular universities in the Arab world; the second highest institution in the country after Al-Azhar University. About 26 thousand students study at 26 faculties of the university, with more than 12 thousand teachers. Education is in Arabic, English and French. The University has an Oceanographic Institute in Suez, a biological station in Hurghada, an astronomical observatory in Helwan and other units.
The leadership of the university, led by the rector Dr. Muhammad Usman Khosht, warmly welcomed guests from Tatarstan. Also the meeting was attended by director of graduate school, Dr. Iman Haridi. After a brief acquaintance and exchange of information about universities, the parties expressed their willingness to cooperate. At the end of the visit, rector of Cairo University donated his book on philosophy “Towards the Construction of a New Religious Era” to BIA library collection, along with a souvenir with the symbol of Cairo University.
